When I wanted to change up from going to The Rink, The Loop, Route 66, and East Side Wheels (all on the south side), and the Rainbo (on the north side), I would come out west to Hot Wheels. It wasn't a bad rink, but I remember half the time, it wouldn't be open. I would call ahead of time, and someone would answer, "Yeah, we're open," and I'd get down there, and nothing was going on. Staff would stand around for awhile before telling people they were actually closed.
